1: This is my cousin, Saieesha :) she is soo much fun, and yeah I love her. We just got back from Calgary yesterday, we were with my uncle and my other cousin, Natasha. We went shopping at Chinook Centre and found crazy deals at Urban Outfitters.

2: I might have an outfit post up soon, Saieesha has an amazing camera and a blank black wall so we'll seeee...

1:Hello (: So my Vancouver trip has been rescheduled ! I'm leaving tomorrow and I get back on Wednesday. I'm going to Playland and then shopping the next day! We'll be going shopping downtown on the streets and at Pacific Center, and then we'll be bussing to Metrotown. I'm so excited!

2:I did my hair after watching Katie (of Cherry Humbug) in her "Bardot Bombshell" hair tutorial. I've just recently started reading her blog and I'm in love with it! I suggest you all follow her on bloglovin. THe video was great! and the hairstyle only took about seven minutes, it was very helpful :)

3:I wore this outfit out to dinner with my parents. We went to Ric's Grill, it's definitely a favourite in my family:) I love buying new items, but I hate it when I buy something so versatile and then wear it all the time! This wrap has been worn like, 4 days a week since I bought it! It honestly goes with everything

4:Quick post because I have to pack for my trip now! I hope everyone's enjoying their long weekend !

Self-Portrait Sunday - Week 9 (I'm baaaack)

1: hello all ! I'm back to blogging, I just quickly took this picture right now, my hair is wet and i've decided to experiment and see how my natural curls turn out, I have nowhere to be tonight so why not:) School is finally done ! While I was complaining about so much school work the past few months, lots of people left encouraging comments and told me that my hard work would pay off, and they were all right ! I made principal's list at my school and made the honours list, so I'm incredibly happy ! I'm glad it's summer now and I have no more exams to write, finally 2.5 months to myself !

2: After this post i'm going to go back and read all the blogs I haven't read in forever, if I"m following you expect a few comments coming your waaay:) 

3: I'm off to Vancouver to stay with two of my friends in her mom's apartment in a week and a bit, her mom is letting us stay there alone so I'm pretty excited. Also shopping ! Cannot wait to pick up some summer items, and I can't wait to start my fall shopping ! All the stores will be stocked with leggings and sweaters soon :) What should I focus on for fall this year? I haven't really decided on what items I should invest in, any ideas?

4: I promise I'll have an outfit post up soon, I can't wait to get back to blogging !

Self-Portrait Sunday - Week 8

Hello lovlies :) my apologies for my lack of posts, it's been like this for a while ! School and everything is just overwhelming, so I'm going on a 'blogger break'. I'm sorry I wont be posting very often until June 17 ! That's when school ends, I'll try and still look at and comment on the other blogs that I love, but everything is just too much right now ! Hope you all understand:)

Self-Portrait Sunday - Week 7

On my mind

1: Took this photo earlier today, didn't have a chance to upload it ! Sorry for the late post, It's been quite the day today. Have any of you had to read Macbeth in school? I'm kinda bittersweet about it, I love reading Shakespeare but at the same time I get frustrated if I can't figure out the meaning of a part right away, ah well. I have to do a theme/motif chart for every scene of every act in the play, and I've totally left it to the last minute. Finished it today though ! weeoooo.

2: I'm such a huge Topshop fan, but I live in Canada soooo I can't shop online, and the only store in North America is in New York ! I've been to New York twice, but that was three years ago and at that time  I was suuuper interested in Abercrombie and didn't even know Topshop existed ! How things have changed... Anyways i've just signed up for a Paris/Barcelona/Madrid spring break trip with my friends next year ! It's our grad year so we wanted to do something fun. Aaaand it just so happens that there is a Topshop in Madrid in one of the areas we're going to ! I know it's like a year away, but I'm beyond stoked.

3: I am in great need of a new swimsuit. I don't know why, but I've never paid more than like 10 bucks a piece for a bathing suit, even though I basically live at the beach in the summer. I want to invest this year !! I've been wanting a high waist polka dot bikini, i love the vintage look to it. I'm quite the newb when it comes to buying nice bathing suits, where do you guys buy yours? An all black bikini from Wall Mart has been my swimsuit staple for as long as I can remember, so feel free to give me advice and if any of you lovely readers know any cool stores that you love to shop for swimsuits at, just comment :)

On my mind

1: Finally got my ring from llymlrs' jewelry shop ! The quality is excellent, except the silver is wearing off pretty quick. I put a coat of clear nail polish on top and that seemed to have stopped it, but other than that, i'm in love !

2: Life is busy, I love blogging but I apologize for my lack of posts, hope you can all bare with me ! THe end of the year is always a busy time,

Self-Portrait Sunday - Week 5

On my mind

1: This was the slowest week ever ! I always find the last month or so of school goes by soooo slow and I really dislike it.

2: I bought my dress for my boyfriends grad a while ago, and it looks very similar to this one, except shorter with a different neckline and a smaller floral print. I didn't want to look too fancy because it's not my grad, I'm just a date, but I'm getting scared now that it's not fancy enough :s Any ideas on how to dress it up a bit more? or how to do my hair to make it look more dressy? feel free to comment :)

3: I was looking through Maria's blog (I highly recommend you all check it out) and she posted a picture of the american apparel carry-alls, so I started looking at them on the site and I"m absolutely in love with them. So cute and they'd go with everything !

4: A happy mother's day to you all :) I spent the day with my mom, we cooked brunch and tried to go watch my boyfriend's soccer game, but there was no parking so we just drove back and forth past to field to catch some of it haha,

Self -Portrait Sunday - Week 4

On my mind

1: My sister is now home from university, so it feels like summer ! ..but sadly it's not and I have school tomorrow uggh.

2: Just watched Obama's speech on the death of Osama Bin Laden, such a weird time right now. But Obama is seriously a great speaker, he's definitely fit for president.

3: I've been loving crop tanks and high-waist vintagey-y looking shorts soo much, they look so summery together. I actually got the inspiration from Naomi of of real world las vegas 2011 (please no judgment for my love of stupid reality TV) She often wears bright cropped tanks and short denim shorts and rocks them !

4: I reaaaally wanted this Clinique chubby stick to wear in summer, but I couldn't find a nice pink colour that didn't look awkward with my skin tone :( Luckily I was called for a free makeover at Shoppers for a new Lise Watier line, and I ended up trying on this lip stick/gloss and I love it ! i highly recommend it, it feels so soft like chapstick on my lips and its small and easy to carry around.

Self-Portrait Sunday - Week 3

Sunday Six

1: Just got back from Edmonton, had a lovely time with family! I'm so sad I'm home though, such a short trip. 

2: Got a dress for the bf's grad ! woopdeedooo. Wish i was graduating. Ah well anyways, I'm wearing it in the picture, its just a short floral summer dress. Seventeen bucks at H&M, such a steal.


3: I'm so very sorry that I have two sunday posts back to back, what a bad blogger. I deserve a spanking. Its been so busy and I've been finding no time to take outfit posts ! Most of you are probably thinking it takes five minutes to take pictures but it honestly doesn't. Taking an outfit picture takes patience, and normally on school days I don't get home till 5 (cause of tutoring and voice lessons) and that doesn't leave me tons of time to do my homework. I'm trying my best to keep up with posts though !


4: ^ reading that, thanks to all of you who put up with me and my blog ! I know my posts aren't so frequent but I'm loving blogging and I'm trying :) thanks to all of you who actually read my blog, I love you all !


5: Obviously I had to go shopping in Edmonton, I bought this shirt in white from Urban Outfitters, and I'm honestly in love. It's so soft and one of the most comfortable things I now own (not even kidding). I also bought a shirt like this from forever 21, it's exactly the same except I got mine for forty dollars cheaper (yay). I didn't try it on in the store, because the fitting rooms were so crowded, but I think it looks okay on me. I'm not sure what to wear it with yet though omggzzz. I thought I'd wear it tucked in with a loose skirt and a cute necklace, but I look like a teacher when I do that. Soooo if you've got any ideas on how to wear that top let me know, I'd love the help! I don't want it to be one of those pieces that ends up in the back of my closet with the tags still on it two years later haha


6: Somewhat depressed, my favourite band is going to Edmonton in May and I don't have tickets, how did this happen?....

Self-Portrait Sunday - Week 2

Sunday Six

1: Aaaah I need a new camera, any suggestions?

2: This week (like every other) has been hectic ! School is just insane right now.

3: Got back from Vancouver yesterday, we just took a day trip. My boyfriend got his grad tux ! He's wearing black pants, black jacket, black vest, a hot pink shirt and a light pink tie, it sounds a tad girly but he actually looks rather fetching. I unfortunately did not find a dress, I'm not a huge pink fan but it's not my grad sooooo I'm trying not to be picky.

4: I didn't get a dress, but I did get a velvet hair clip from American Apparel, I got it in a light blue colour, which isn't on the website?...

5: I ordered a new ring ! It's on pre ordered so it'll take about two weeks :( but really, I suggest all of you look at the website ! I've told you all about Lily Melrose and her blog many times before, but I can't press it enough ! I'm obsessed with her blog (in a healthy way...!), I get so much inspiration out of her pictures, so if you haven't yet, go check it out:)

6: Been listening to this song so much lately...

Self-Portrait Sunday - Week 1

The Sunday Six:

1) I've decided to start a 'self-portrait sunday' weekly post to replace 'how they wear it'. I will, of course, still do 'how they wear it' posts occasionally, but this sunday portrait thing is just so much faster.

2) I've also decided to do a 'sunday six' (sorry for the awful alliteration..haha theres another..)  with just seven interesting things that have happened or that I've seen.

3) I'm so happy that this week is over, its been busy busy ! seriously, you guys are probably so tired reading about me complaining about school. The term's over finally, but it begins all again on tuesday..(no school tomorrow, yaaay)

4) For some reason, I've been so uninspired when I shop. I see so much stuff that I like, but when I try it on or i'm about to buy it, I think 'I have so much that is similar to this', I want more unique things ! I think maybe it's time to change up my three shopping go tos. (H&M, Forever 21 and American Apparel, it's crazy my whole wardrobe is from those three stores)

5) I've got to do a closet clean out soon. I'm such a hoarder. I hate giving things away that I never wear, because I always think 'oh maybe I'll wear this in the future'. And I never do. ugghh.

6) I just purchased a sheer tan button up from american apparel (quelle surprise) and I'm so in love with it, but I only have 1 way I wear it :/ With a black skirt, belted. I need some more inspiration, any ideas?
